Overview

ScreenGrant helps parents and guardians manage screen time, tasks, approvals, child profiles, device rules, and protection status. This Privacy Policy explains the basic information ScreenGrant collects and how we use, share, retain, and delete it.

ScreenGrant is intended to be set up and managed by parents or guardians. If you add a child, family member, account, or device to ScreenGrant, you are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and consents needed to do so.

Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as names, email addresses, sign-in identifiers, subscription or entitlement status, support messages, and account settings.

We may collect family and child profile information such as family names, child names or nicknames, profile settings, tasks, approvals, schedules, rules, allowed or blocked apps or services, usage or enforcement reports, and optional proof submissions or images a family chooses to upload.

We may collect device and technical information such as device identifiers, device role, operating system, app version, sync status, notification tokens, device health, VPN or protection status, Screen Time or managed-settings status, accessibility or usage-access status where enabled, app inventory or installed-app information where permitted, logs, diagnostics, crash reports, analytics events, and similar information needed to operate and improve ScreenGrant.

Google User Data

If you sign in with Google, ScreenGrant may receive Google account identifiers, name, email address, profile information made available through sign-in, and authentication-related information.

ScreenGrant uses Google user data only to authenticate the parent account, connect the correct family setup, provide support, secure the service, prevent misuse, and operate user-facing ScreenGrant features requested by the family. ScreenGrant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

ScreenGrant does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, disclose Google user data to data brokers, use Google user data for credit or lending purposes, use Google user data to train unrelated AI models, or use Google user data for unrelated secondary purposes.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, debug, improve, and support ScreenGrant; authenticate users; sync family settings; apply rules selected by parents or guardians; send service emails and notifications; process subscriptions and entitlements; respond to support requests; prevent misuse; comply with legal obligations; and protect ScreenGrant, families, and others.

We may use cookies, analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, and similar tools to understand service performance and fix issues. Where session replay or product analytics are enabled, they should be configured to avoid collecting information that is not needed for service, support, security, diagnostics, analytics, or product-improvement purposes.

Sharing

We may share information with service providers that help us run ScreenGrant, such as hosting, storage, authentication, security, email, push notification, app store, payment, analytics, diagnostics, and support providers. We may also share information with app stores, operating systems, authentication providers, and payment providers when needed to provide their services.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, to enforce our terms, in connection with a business transaction, or with consent.

Children and Family Data

Parents and guardians control the child profiles, devices, tasks, rules, and family information they add to ScreenGrant. We do not knowingly ask children to provide more personal information than is reasonably needed for the features selected by the parent or guardian.

Parents or guardians may contact us to request review, correction, deletion, or restriction of a child's personal information where required by law.

Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide ScreenGrant, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, process subscriptions, prevent fraud or abuse, and keep reasonable business records.

You may request account deletion through the account deletion page or by emailing support@screengrant.com from the email address on the account. Some records may be retained where needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, subscription, backup, or compliance reasons. Backups, logs, and provider records may remain for up to 90 days after deletion before they are removed through normal retention cycles, unless a longer period is required.

Security and Choices

We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information, but no service, device, network, or transmission is completely secure. Families are responsible for securing their accounts, devices, passwords, operating-system settings, and family permissions.

You may be able to update account, family, profile, device, rule, task, and approval information in the app. You may also control certain device permissions, notifications, subscriptions, and platform settings through your device, operating system, app store, browser, or account provider.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised.
